Note the bulbs are the smaller 3mm ones vs the 5mm LED so it won't be as bright. With the smaller 3mm bulbs and finer wire gauge, the 65' string is surprisingly compact. The box it came in was smaller than the box for a 20' incandescent icicle string.The reason I gave the product 4 instead of 5 stars is that the lights turn on automatically on the first mode which is just all the other modes cycling in a continuous loop. We don't like the twinkling and always put the string on steady mode (mode 8). The lights are set on a timer (not the one supplied with the remote). The problem is we have to walk outside, point the remote in the direction of the receiver to change the lights to steady mode every time the lights turn on.If anyone can figure out how to have the strings start in the mode that it was last set on, I would appreciate the information.Very nice quality lights. A lot smaller wiring than the traditional strand of lights, at first was unsure if they would work as well but they turned out just fine. Will buy a second set for next year. The only grip I have is when they get turned on they go directly to the flash mode and you have to manually set the steady mode every time. Other than that worth the money. I would have spent $80 on a set from a big box store.My husband and I were looking for good Christmas lights to decorate the front of our home. My father had bought those lights 4 years ago for his home and they still work very well, so we decided to buy them. They worked for two weeks and one night I came home to them being off. Turns out there was moisture inside the control/timer box. It hadn't even rained for two days before they stopped working. I was quite disappointed considering they stopped working 4 days before Christmas...perfect, the brightness control works excellent, I love them.Beautiful lights and Easy to hang. Easy to figure out while hanging. I didn’t have to deal with wires while hanging. Clear wires unlike the earlier ones I had with beautiful lights and multiple modes. Would also be great for a wedding. Very pleased. Different modes of lights is a plus. Great built lights for all occasionsLike the product overall. But no directions to show you how to operate the timer.The remote and multiple lighting modes were certainly a positive feature. However the individual lights were spaced too far apart on the string and were not bright. They paled in comparison to multiple neighbors in our street. Would not buy again.
