40" 24x3w LED: This is a good looking light but doesn't see brighter than a 30w(ish) 252 R-G-B LED type lights as this is 80ish watts. But if you can see it this light looks much better. See attached video for demo.Eyourlife: You really need to consider this light in other configurations (RGBW,RGBAW,RGBAW-UV)Also I would consider a cheaper version which doesn't have 8 separately controllable sections as that doesn't work well for a wall wash, but the channel modes handles that issue. I recommend the 7 channel mode as it gives you RGB and fancy pattern control. I wish the 24 channel mode was complemented by a 7 channel mode like feature where you could also use the demo/chase modes with dimmer and strobe, or control each seaction individually though RGB.I knocked off a star because some of the light lenses are loose, although it does really affect the unit, it worries me in the long run.It has a metal case which i like for durability. The feet have single hoesl which is good for clapping to a light bar or truss. I will mostly use this for a wall wash.I like the demo patternsOk, first off I paid $49 for this light with free shipping from inside the US, and I couldn't be more pleased. The unit is exactly as described and features a rotating prism in front of a pattern wheel illuminated by a bright white light. My unit had some slight irregularities - a few case scratches and the focusing lens threads were a little rough, but totally acceptable for the price.I was very pleased to find an affordable light that offered more than just flashing RGB dots. Because this unit uses white light with a colored gobo, the colors aren't quite as "pure" as other techniques but the palette is fine, and it works for the effect. At 100% brightness the fixture does get quite hot, specifically on the top near where the mounting bracket attaches above the heatsink. Sound-active isn't quite as sensitive as I'd like anyway, so I'll just use DMX and keep the brightness down. The light is large and feels very substantial. The DMX is as described by a previous review, and functioned flawlessly even with my sketchy interface that screws up other lights. The beam angle is pretty wide, and the minimum focus distance with my unit is about 8 feet so the projection is large. Sharpness is good. Would buy again. This light has 5 DMX channels. Okay, here's what each channel does. Ch 1 is the dimmer. Ch 2 is strobe. Ch 3 is the pattern display. Ch 4 Gobo rotation. Ch 5 is gobo and rotation speed. They all work pretty well, but the colors are not a vivid as I was expecting. Although the light seems to have a cooling fan, it gets VERY, VERY hot. I mean finger burning hot. I don't think this was made for all night continuous use. The description says it had an LED light, but because of the extreme heat, I suspect it may be other than LED. The images don't seem sharp, and the focus on the front doesn't do much. Over all, it's not a bad light, and I'll probably keep it, but the heat bothers me. I'll install it in the club this weekend, but if it gets too hot, and if the images are not crisp, I'll probably pull it down, and return it. Another thing, there doesn't seem to be an access to replace the bulb if it burns out. Which it probably will with that much heat buildup inside the light. As a little additional info, I turned the light on, and left it for about 20 minutes with a thermometer laying on it. It registered 119 degrees. A little too hot for an LED bulb.I have used many different LED washes and movers in our church. I decided to give these a try to replace some wall washes that I use that have flickering issues. I tested this 40 inch LED wash against my Chauvet color palette, Chauvet Colorstrip, ADJ Mega Bar RGBA and some other led pars I have. This is a great little unit!PROS:NO FLICKER - I tested these at 24, 60 and even 240 fps and could not get them to flicker, even when dimmed to lower intensities. No fan. Sometimes these cheap chinese made lights have a fan for cooling. Not these.Good color mixing. For RGB these do really well, even orange and purple to pastel.Wide Spread! These have a very large spread. Larger and brighter than any of the other lights I listed above.DMX values don't get lost when powered off.CONS:The power cord is not detachable. The manual is actually not horrible but not a ton of explanation.I had to use a generic LED RGB fixture profile in my Jands Vista Software. No fixture profiles are available for Eyourlife.I just received these so I will update my review is they fail me.I purchased 2 well over a year ago and was very pleased with them... the only down side with them is that the power cords are hard wired in. I did eventually have a section where the blue led's stopped working which wasn't an issue in my eyes so since they were so cheap, i purchased another to replace it. Load and behold... i was in for a surprise because i assumed by purchasing the exact same item on amazon, that it would be exactly the same. The newer model had different DMX settings and the UAC Power cord was detachable (which is a nice upgrade). It would of been nice to have the product description to be updated to know that the item had different DMX channels and values. Still love how bright it is... just a bit disappointing that the dmx values were changed cause now i have to go through rigorous hours of reprogramming the lights again.Otherwise... its a good light.I was so excited the item worked great on the 1st day. Came back a week later and only 2 lights would come on. I tried everything but nothing made it work. I finally unplugged it for 15min and plugged it back up & then 3 lights came on SMH Thank God I can send this back it was cheap either SMHGood product. I was surprised by some of its capabilities. I put 4 stars because the packaging is very bad and a couple of the lights (I bought 6) came broken at the plastic ends - (I even had to return one that was very broken).Despite this, very good for the price.
