Let me give you the pros- these are nice solar lights, and are a generous length, and stay lit all night long on a daytime charge. They are still quite bright at 5AM, and we even brought the charger inside to see if they would still light up the next night on the one single charge. They did, and lasted all night. That’s pretty great.Cons (for me, at least)- They came with no instructions. The have a blinking/flashing function, that is not what I want, and so I was trying to figure out the mode settings, which you work through the remote control. the remote is a pain. There isn’t any indicator of mode or settings, just numbers for timers, and +/- signs. And you have to be very close to the main unit, and have it pointed right at it. It took me about 15 minutes to get the lights from yellow to clear white, and from blinking to steady. Also, the plug to the unit is a little fidgety. The holes and prongs are difficult to line up perfectly, to plug in.To be fair, if I were wrapping these around a tree, and leaving them plugged in and in place all the time, and just wanted them for outdoor stationary full time use (which IS what they are probably intended for) they are probably perfect! 5-star.I wanted them for indoor use, and to take them outside and charge they by day, and plug them in at night. They work fairly well for that too. Just the little issues with plugging and settings on the remote, and they aren’t quite as bright as I’d like for THAT purpose… but that’s on me.Buy them for out door use though!I installed these on our property fence to use year round. Right now they are set to normal light but I can't wait to switch them to Christmas mode!! The look fantastic and are very easy to use. And the price! What a great deal!Looking for lights to illuminate our large deck I fell in love with these immediately. They are everything I was looking for and more.absolutely perfect for every occasion. We never have to take them down.So many modes and settings makes them completely versatile. As casual lighting they are bright enough to illuminate the space comfortably with a calming hue.As Christmas lighting they have the perfect Color and flickering modes to fit in with any scenery we decide.I love that we can use them by utilizing the power from the sun and as a back up we can plug them in as well~ (which I have yet needed to do) since the panel holds substantial power To keep them on for hours at a time. The remote control is compact and easy to use.Set up wasn’t bad at all, The string material is easy to work with. They’ve been up now in daily use for 3 months and still working like new.Well worth the money and I plan to purchase more for the front of the house.I would give these 10 stars if I could! The lights are beautiful and bright and so far they have been working. I like that it has both a spike to attach it to the ground and a hoop to hang it so you have options. You can also connect it by USB instead of solar (we are using it as solar).Unfortunately the remote that came with it doesn't work. We even tried putting in a new battery, but the light on the front of the remote never lights up and the stand doesn't interact with it. That also leaves me without the options to dim the lights or set it on a timer as the strand only has an on/off button and a mode button and the other functions only exist on the remote.Well we put the lights up inside our Gazebo so we can’t change the lights while in there. Cuz the Solar thing has to be outsideA few weeks after stringing them around the wire got a short! Trying to figure out what went wrong and replacing them.
