I ordered these on a whim, not really having a use for them in mind. Once they arrived a lightbulb went off, so I immediately placed one in the soil of a large Parlor Palm tree I have in my bedroom. My idea was to light up the base of the plant to draw attention in the room, but I was surprised to see it did more than that. If you look at the photo, I posted you will see that it projects shadows at various depths! This makes it look almost like a 3D image! Imagine if the base of the light had a small motor in it and it rotated!The quality of the lights is nicer than I imagined as the body is made of metal, not plastic as I expected. Plus, the light has a ball and socket joint, so the light can be projected in any direction. The inline controller allows the user to adjust the intensity of the light. I would like to get a pair of these double this size now that I know what they are capable of doing with the intricacies of a plant's fronds.The battery boxes included with this set are the cherry on top. Their inclusion in the set allows you to power the lights with an internal battery bank, to AC outlet, or powered using the included AA battery containers....now that is some versatility!I HIGHLY recommend these lights. I imagine they have many uses beyond what I came up with. Great price as well.
