I just directed this play with a group of homeschooled students. WOW! We had so much fun with the characters and had a great response from the audience. What I really loved were the incredible extension opportunities within the play. For example, one student created a Christmas decoration of a snowman that lights up and spins around all by itself for a science fair project. That prop isn't necessary to the play, but it was a fun project the student took on by herself. In addition, there is a portion of the play in which the characters all give wrapped gifts to another character. Our group of students held a diaper drive to donate to our local diaper bank. The wrapped gifts they gave were the boxes of diapers from the diaper drive that they were able to donate the next day. The kids had a great time and are eager to do another play soon!
